....Marijuana's true potency and why the law should change. The U.S. war against marijuana has failed and actually threatens public safety and rests on false medical assumptions. Guest columnist John McKay, Seattle's former U.S. attorney, argues why the laws against arijuana should be changed.

I've never used Marijuana but I've been reading a lot about its medical applications. Does it has any violent or destructive after effects? Like does it make you do terrible things like murder random people?
ReplyDeleteHi Beth
ReplyDeleteI would say there are no violent or destructive after effects. None that I have seen. None that I have read about. None that I have heard about. Has it ever happened? I don't know.
Compared to alcohol there is zero risk.
This blog writer feels marijuana is no worse than alcohol. It is a personal choice. I believe no one should lose their freedom or have a criminal record.
I am interested in the medical healing prpoerties of cannabis. I am also interested on the history of criminalization, stereotypes, and racism assoicated with cannabis throught history.
Like President Obama and Prime Minister Trudeau, I have used cannabis but don't partake anymore for personal reasons.
Beth please enjoy your journey into cannabis and it's medical applications.
Cheers and thanks for being my third commentor.
Hi there!
ReplyDeleteI'm Chris, and I'm a huge reader of your blog. Just wanted to let you know I love your writing! Keep it up!
I'm a student at the University of Calgary, and just recently along with two other fellow students I created a video about our idea to make our University a greener place. Here's a quick summary:
"Revitalize sustainability measures, increase fitness and lessen the negative environmental impact of elevators by promoting existing stairway infrastructure through auditory/visual enhancements, nature themes, educational eco-facts and sustainability-focused features."
We would be honored if you could help us reach our goal of getting the most votes - the team that wins earns their university $100,000 to implement the environmental solution!!!
If you could, please feature this story and help us build awareness to combat this growing dilemma. You can find our video at http://www.tdgogreenchallenge.com/video/id/18/playid/18.
Thank you so much!!!
